Description
This is an SGI Indy workstation, model numberCMN B006Y66
as printed on the bottom. It works and powers up - see picture. Its stats as reported by the "hinv" command in the monitor are:
System: IP22 (This refers to the motherboard, which is actually an IP24)
Processor: 133 MHz R4600, with FPU
Primary I-cache size: 16 Kbytes
Primary D-cache size: 16 Kbytes
Memory size: 160 Mbytes
Graphics: Indy 8-bit ("Newport" graphics)
Audio: Iris Audio Processor: version A2 revision 4.1.0
(Please disregard the SCSI disks listed in the output of "hinv" in the picture, they are not included because they may contain personal or proprietary data.)
Cosmetically, the computer is in decent shape, it's missing one rubber foot on the bottom and the top has some scratches from a CRT monitor being slid around on top of it.
The system has space for two SCSI hard drives (ribbon and power cable included) or one hard drive and a "floptical" drive that can be accessed through a slot in the side. It accepts keyboards and mice with PS/2 interfaces, still readily available, and has a 10base-T (RJ-45) network port which is compatible with modern networking equipment - it is possible to boot an operating system (such as SGI IRIX or Linux) over the network.
The monitor showing the output of "hinv" is for demonstration only, it is not included.
