    The expansion slot was ALWAYS empty.

    Remove the two Torx #8 fasters located on the battery compartment, ground yourself, orient the board, carefully bend back the tabs and insert the memory expansion board in the empty slot.
    Press down firmly but gently and it will ‘snick in place’.
    Doubling the amount of memory will make the Apple eMate execute operations so much faster!
