Description
GEC#93 Ram's Foot in Oily Creek Bone.Usual swirls on the blade, immaculate otherwise.
The Tidioute #93 Ram's Foot in Oily Creek Bone is Great Eastern Cutlery's take a classic sheepsfoot design. It's the ideal every day size with a sway-ed back handle scooped right for the palm. This is the "Pattern Production Premiere", first of the material and pattern combination, and has the "Triple P" logo on the back of every blade.
Blade:
This new style from GEC blends the classic lines of the Sheepsfoot and Wharncliffe for powerful cutting potential. It is satin finished with proper nail nick pull and slight upper swedge with that just-right half stop action. The high carbon 1095 blade steel is tough and easy to sharpen to a razor like edge but requires care to prevent corrosion and will naturally patina over time.
Handle:
Swayed back with clean curves and solid lines for days the handles are made from handsome, rugged Oily Creek Bone scales. The scales are attached with brass pins and sit flush to the polished bolsters that match the inlaid Tidioute swell bar shield. Brass liner construction finishes out the piece.
Rolled up in wax paper inside the Tidioute-labeled travel tube.
1095 High Carbon Tool Steel:
Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
