    Description

This sale is for one wafer as shown. Surface Acoustic Wave devices are used to implement RF filtering in modern communications devices including cell phones.
First proposed by English Lord Rayleigh in the late eighteen hundreds. The SAW (Rayleigh Wave) propagation in piezoelectric crystals can have near a 100% energy transfer at the frequency they are deigned for and a very sharp cut off outside it.
These SAW filters have light surface scratches, but are still very interesting devices under the microscope. Mine isn't quite powerful enough to see good detail of the fine electrode grids on this piezoelectric device.
