    Description

Early Edition Commodore VIC-20 (NTSC) with Silver/Brown labeling and PET style keyboard.  This is an exceptionally clean system, with slight yellowing of the top plastic, but an absolutely immaculate keyboard.
Manufactured in March of 1981 in Japan
Fully tested as working (see photos)
    1.  Powers on and displays BASIC with correct amount of memory
    2.  Loads and Saves programs from a floppy drive (this tests the serial port.  I use a pi1541 for this)
    3.  Sound works great, synth programs play all notes correctly
    4.  Video works (NTSC) using a standard Commodore 64/VIC-20 Cable (5-pin DIN)
    5.  Every key works, shift lock clicks in place and works appropriately when locked.
    PLEASE NOTE
    1.  I do NOT provide a power supply with the system.  Old Commodore power supplies are notorious for failing and damaging VIC's and C64's.   You will need to purchase your own power supply for this system separately.   Even though it is a 2-prong plug, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT use an old Sony power cord and plug it directly into the wall.  You will need a proper 10VAC power supply.
    2.  Video cable is not included.   The VIC-20 is compatible with common 5-pin DIN cables for the C64 and Atari of the day.
    3.  I do not ship internationally via reshipping services.  If the shipping address is one of a reshipping service your bid will be cancelled.
Every system that leaves my house has been tested and inspected before shipping.  They are shipped well packed in foam in appropriately sized boxes so that they make it to you in the same shape as it left me, shipping costs reflect this.   I take a lot of pride in the work that I do on these systems and my goal is to keep them out of landfills.   Repairing and reselling these systems is also a hobby, not a full time job.  If you have an issue please reach out to me and we will resolve it as best as I can.
Thank you, please feel free to ask questions before bidding!
