Atari 800xl Computer - Complete in box - Used - Not Working - Powers on. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This unit is not in a working state. It powers on with a red light. I tried the cable and TV adapter with an old CRT TV, no picture. I also tried a cable from another game console to see if the picture would work, black screen result. I read online that the power supply sometimes goes bad and creates this result. Or the power supply is not getting enough juice from the wall socket. It could probably be fixed or it might need a cap job. I don't know, I have not opened up the unit. That is beyond my expertise so I figured I would pass this pristine unit along to someone who knows what they are doing. This unit is in GREAT CONDITION. It even still has the plastic film covering the right power buttons as well as the original plastic console baggy. The box is in ROUGH shape. Still comes with all the accessories and even the PAPERWORK!! This unit was sitting in a van outside in my grandfathers Michigan storage lot for probably 30 years. It endured many cold winters and humid summers. Good luck getting this to work. The cosmetics of this unit are in perfect condition. The box is a bit musky, you might want to just throw it away once you get it. Feel free to message me with any questions. I just love the futuristic yellow glasses dude on the back!!! Note: I was informed by a gracious ebayer that the current power supply could possibly damage the console if it is used. It would be a good idea to have a working alternative power supply for testing or repair of the console.
