1995
Apple Power Macintosh
8100/100
Power PC
Starts up with a chime
and runs and looks good.
It is booting on OS 9.0.4.
Good condition for a 26 year old computer
with minor scratches and marks.
As far as I can tell there
are no missing or broken plastic pieces.
Feet foam pieces are all there
and the green power light lights up
when computer is on.
This computer sold for 00 USD when new
(that's 72.03 USD in today's money).
8 memory sticks installed:
2 - 8 MB
6 - 4 MB
for a total of 48 MB.
Could be maxed out at 264 MB.
One 332 MB hard drive installed.
Has one open bay.
Sled for open bay is missing.
2X tray-loading CD-ROM drive one top.
Works fine.
3.5 Floppy drive in 1st bay.
Works fine.
OS 9.0.4 installed.
I have installed a new 3.6v battery so this Mac now
keeps the time and date after a shutdown and restart.
As you can see by the pictures, I tore
the computer down and cleaned it up
inside and out.
When doing this I found an
Easter Egg
inside.
There are a bunch of signatures on
one of the interior plastic pieces.
I searched on the internet and could find
NOTHING
about the names.
Check out the picture.
Maybe you could find out who they are.
Monitor, keyboard, mouse and any external cords not included.
See:
https://everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac/specs/powermac_8100_100.html
for more information.
The Mac will be wrapped tightly in bubble wrap and
cushioned in a heavy duty cardboard box.
The box is then very security wrapped with tape.
All of the packaging adds about 5 - 10 pounds to the
total weight depending on size of computer.
